This year marked our first year attending Function Fabric Fair (FFF) in Portland, Oregon, and it was an excellent experience. Featuring 130 booths from textile manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers focused on functional and performance fabrics, FFF was an ideal environment in which to reach out to diverse a mix of fabric mills, brands, and designers. What better place to showcase the future of fabric management than at a buzzy industry event full of top flight manufacturers and producers?

In addition to having our own booth at the event, Frontier Senior VP Bob Ryan took to the stage to highlight responsible digital fabric sourcing options. The topics on the stage for Day 2 really highlighted how much responsible practices and sustainable products are serious industry discussions at the moment. In addition to our session, we heard about planet-friendly practices from speakers from Hohenstein Institute of America, Utah State University, and Portland Fashion Institute.

As with any two-day show, foot traffic to the booth was busy. It was a pleasure to meet with so many world-class manufacturers and leading brands, including Apple, L.L. Bean, and Carhartt. We learned a lot by talking with so many stakeholders and we returned to the home office with lots of promising leads.

We’re back at HQ for now with a busy fall and winter ahead. Next up we’ll head to Paris for Premiere Vision from February 11-13, 2020. Let us know if you’ll be there, too, we’d love to meet you!
