Privacy policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
1. Who we are
This privacy policy is issued by 臺灣通用紡織科技股份有限公司 (Unified Business No. 83613618), operating as Frontier.cool ("Frontier", "we", "us" or "our"), 10F-3, No. 57, Fuxing N. Rd., Songshan Dist., Taipei 105, Taiwan.
It explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit frontier.cool (the "Site"), use TextileCloud and our other products and services (the "Services"), open content that our customers publish through the Services, or communicate with us by email.
Frontier is the controller of the personal information described in this policy, except Customer Data (section 3). You can reach us at support@frontier.cool for any privacy question or request.
This policy does not apply to information collected offline, or by third party websites and services that you reach through links on the Site or the Services. Those have their own policies.
2. Children
The Site and the Services are designed for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we learn that we have, we delete it. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact support@frontier.cool.
3. Customer Data
Organizations that subscribe to the Services ("Customers") upload and manage content such as material data, images, 3D files, documents and the details of their users and contacts ("Customer Data"). We process Customer Data on behalf of the Customer, under the Customer's instructions and our agreement with them. The Customer decides what Customer Data is collected and how it is used, and the Customer's own privacy policy applies to it.
Frontier is the controller, not the Customer's processor, for the information described in sections 4.2 to 4.5, including view records of published content, and for the de identified data described in section 7.
If your information is part of Customer Data and you want to exercise your rights, please contact the Customer. If you contact us, we will refer your request to that Customer.
4. Information we collect
4.1 Information you give us
- Account and profile: your name, email address, password, company, job title, language and profile picture.
- Billing: for paid plans, your billing contact, address and tax details. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
- Content you submit: materials, files, comments, search queries, prompts and images you send to AI features, and anything you post in shared spaces. Content you choose to share or publish can be seen by the people you share it with.
- Contacts you import: if you choose to import contacts or invite colleagues, the names and email addresses you provide.
- Communications: messages you send us, survey answers, event and demo requests.
4.2 Support and feedback
When you send us feedback or a support request from TextileCloud, we collect what you write, the category you choose, any files or screenshots you attach, your name and email address, and your account and organization identifiers. We also record which page and workspace you were on, the app version, and the asset the report is about, if any.
If you choose "Include device details", we also store with your report your browser and operating system, screen size, time zone, language and IP address. You can send feedback without sharing these details. Our servers still process your IP address to deliver the Services and protect them from abuse (section 4.4).
Screenshots you attach may show other information that was on your screen. Please review attachments before sending.
We use this information only to respond to your report, investigate and fix problems, and improve the Services. We do not use it for marketing or profiling. Each report receives a case number, which we send to you by email. Reports are handled by Frontier's support and product teams. They are stored in our database and file storage, delivered to our support mailbox, and posted to an internal channel in our company Slack workspace that only Frontier staff can see.
4.3 Views of content that organizations publish
Customers can publish content through the Services, such as material pages, shared collections and pages reached by a QR code. When you open one of these pages, with or without an account, we record the view: your IP address, the approximate location we derive from it (country and city), the page and material you viewed, and the date and time.
We use this record to operate and secure the Services, to prevent abuse, and to give the organization that published the content statistics about how its content is viewed. We make view records available to that organization, including your IP address, country, city and the date and time of the view. The organization uses this information under its own privacy policy and our Terms of Use, which do not allow it to identify, contact or track individual viewers. You can object to this sharing (section 12).
4.4 Information collected automatically
When you use the Site or the Services, our servers and the tools described in section 5 collect:
- your IP address, browser and operating system, device type, language and time zone;
- the pages and features you use, the links you click, the time and duration of your visit, and the page that referred you;
- log data such as access times, errors and security events;
- when you search while signed in, your search terms, together with your IP address and approximate location.
We derive an approximate location (country and city) from your IP address. We do not use precise location (GPS).
4.5 Information from third parties
- If you sign in with Google or connect an integration, we receive the information you authorize, such as your name and email address.
- If your organization creates your account or invites you, we receive your name and email address from it.
- Our payment, communication and bot protection providers may send us information about transactions, email engagement and suspected abuse.
5. Cookies, analytics and session recording
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, keep the Services secure, and understand how the Site and Services are used.
In TextileCloud, we use Google Analytics, Mixpanel and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the Services are used and to improve them. Microsoft Clarity records how you interact with pages (clicks, scrolls and mouse movement) and what is shown on them; it masks sensitive input fields. Mixpanel records which features you use. When you are signed in, we currently send Google Analytics and Mixpanel your email address as the user identifier; we are replacing it with an internal identifier that does not reveal who you are. These tools run on TextileCloud pages, including pages that organizations publish. We are adding a cookie banner so that you can accept or reject analytics and session recording; until then, you can block them with your browser settings or a content blocker without affecting the Services.
On frontier.cool, our website provider (Shopify) and we use cookies and tags, including Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and TikTok, to measure visits and the performance of our marketing, including advertising shown to you on other sites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the Site or the Services may then not work. You can opt out of interest based advertising from many companies at https://optout.aboutads.info and https://www.youronlinechoices.eu. To opt out of Google Analytics on any site, use https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Third parties such as advertisers and analytics providers may set their own cookies, and their own privacy policies apply.
6. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate and maintain the Site and the Services, including your account and the features you use;
- process payments and send invoices, receipts and account notices;
- respond to your requests, support tickets and feedback;
- give Customers statistics about views of the content they publish (section 4.3);
- secure the Services, detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms;
- analyze use and improve the Site and the Services;
- send you news and offers about Frontier, where you have not opted out or where the law requires, with your consent;
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We may use information that has been aggregated or de identified, so that it no longer identifies you, for any lawful purpose.
7. AI features
Some features use artificial intelligence, for example to analyze material images, extract text, search and answer questions. When you use them, the content you submit (images, text and prompts) is processed by our AI provider (Google Gemini) to produce the result. We do not allow our AI provider to use your content to train its own models.
To improve our own AI systems, we use only data that has been de identified so that it no longer identifies you.
8. How we share your information
We share personal information only as follows:
- With the organization that published content you view, as described in section 4.3.
- With your organization, if your account belongs to one: administrators can see your profile and your activity in their workspace.
- With service providers that process data for us under contract: cloud hosting and storage (Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud for AI chat data), AI processing of images and text you submit (Google Gemini), IP location lookup, sign in with Google (Google), inbound email processing for upload mailboxes (MailSlurp), payments (Stripe), customer communication (HubSpot), bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), product analytics (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Microsoft Clarity), email delivery, our support mailbox, and internal team messaging (Slack). They may use the data only to provide their services to us.
- With CLO Virtual Fashion (CLO3D), when you use our CLO3D integration: the product information and material data, including AI generated physical properties, needed to create .zfab files.
- With our affiliates, for the purposes in this policy.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, to the buyer or successor, who must continue to protect your information in line with this policy.
- For legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or a valid legal request, or is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Frontier, our customers or others, including fraud prevention.
- With your consent or at your direction.
9. Legal bases (European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland)
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or Swiss data protection law applies, we rely on these legal bases:
- Performance of a contract with you or your organization: providing the Services, your account, billing, and responding to your support requests.
- Our legitimate interests: securing the Services and preventing abuse, analyzing use and improving the Services, handling feedback, marketing our services to business contacts, and giving organizations statistics about views of the content they publish. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests (section 12).
- Consent: where we ask for it, such as optional device details in feedback. You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing before the withdrawal.
- Legal obligation: where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
10. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy or as the law requires. In particular:
- Feedback reports, including device details and attachments: while we need them to resolve the case and to learn from recurring problems. You can ask us to delete a report at any time by quoting its case number.
- Views of published content and search logs: today we keep these records without a fixed end date, so that the publishing organization can see the history of views of its content. We are introducing a limit of 12 months, after which we will delete the IP address and city and keep only the country, the page and the date for statistics, and we will update this policy when it applies.
- Account information: while your account is active, and afterwards as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations and to resolve disputes.
- Customer Data: as set out in our agreement with the Customer.
After these periods we delete or anonymize the information.
11. International transfers
We are based in Taiwan. We store and process data in Singapore, keep a backup copy of uploaded files in Japan, and some of our service providers process data in the United States. Where we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or Japan to these countries, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and their UK and Swiss addenda included in our service providers' terms, or the EU US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension where a provider is certified. You can ask us for more information about these safeguards. We use your personal information in Taiwan and in the countries listed in this section.
Users in Japan: the countries that receive your personal data are Taiwan, Singapore and the United States. Information about the personal data protection systems of these countries is published by the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan. Our service providers have taken measures equivalent to those required of businesses under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

If you viewed content an organization published and want to object to sharing your view data with it, tell us the page or QR code. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Users in Japan: under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information you may ask us to disclose, correct, add to or delete your retained personal data, to stop using or erase it, and to stop providing it to third parties.
Users in Taiwan: under the Personal Data Protection Act you may ask to inspect your personal data or receive a copy, to supplement or correct it, to have us stop collecting, processing or using it, and to delete it. If you do not provide the information needed to create an account, we cannot provide the Services to you.
Marketing: you can unsubscribe at any time with the link in our emails or by writing to support@frontier.cool. We will still send you messages about your account and transactions.
Cookies: see section 5.
If you delete content you have shared, copies may remain for a time in backups or with people you shared it with.
13. California residents
California residents may ask us, once a year and free of charge, for information about personal information we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes in the preceding year. Email support@frontier.cool. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross context behavioral advertising from TextileCloud.
14. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical measures to protect personal information, including encryption of connections to the Services, access controls and monitoring. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information sent over the internet. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. If we learn of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
