Creating Assets
Introduction
Adding new assets to the Frontier.cool Asset Library is a fundamental process for users who manage digital fabric collections. This knowledge base article provides clear instructions on how to create and add assets to the library, either by scanning fabrics or uploading pre-scanned images.
Starting the Process
- Navigating to Asset Library: Access the Asset Library in your TextileCloud™ and click the [+Create] button to begin the asset creation process.
- Upload Methods: Choose from scanning and emailing the fabric image to the cloud, uploading pre-scanned images from your device, or using the ApexFiz™ material through Shima Seiki integration.
Preparing Your Fabric
- Optimal Digitization Requirements: Prepare your fabric ensuring it is at least 21x21 cm, free of wrinkles, imperfections, and lint, especially if tiling is required.
Image requirements
- Before scanning: Ensure your fabric images meet the following criteria:
• Supported Formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG.
• Maximum File Size: 100MB/file.
• Minimum Resolution: 300 DPI.
• Minimum Size: 800x800 pixels.
• Image Orientation: Portrait
1. Creating Assets by Scanning
Steps for Scanning and Uploading
• Scan Your Fabric:
Use your equipment to scan the fabric you wish to add to the library.
• Send to the Cloud:
Email the scanned image to your TextileCloud™ email address.
• Processing Time:
After sending the scan, the asset will appear in your library, typically within 3-5 minutes.
2. Uploading Pre-scanned Images
• Uploading Procedure:
Use the upload asset button, drag and drop, or browse your local files to upload your fabric image.
• Quality and Upload:
Ensure the scan quality accurately represents the fabric's texture and color. After uploading, monitor the progress in the Progress Status Module, where the upload status will be displayed.
