Merge Material for Asset with Face and Back Side
Introduction
Merging material from the digital library is crucial for gaining a holistic perspective on materials. This process visualizes both the front and back sides of the asset's images and information, facilitating accurate representation of material sides/ layers.
How to merge material:
- Select two assets from the asset library by checking on the checkboxes, then click on [Merge materials] button.
- Upon selecting the button, the Merge Materials window will automatically open.
- Drag each fabric image to its respective column (💡Left column for the Face side and middle column for the Back side).
- Select one of the fabric descriptions, then drag and drop it into the provided description column (Right column).
Additionally, if there is a middle side or composite material in the fabric, you can check the checkbox next to Composite Material. - Click on the [Preview] button to preview, then click [Confirm] when satisfied.
- All done! Your new asset, complete with a new unique Frontier ID, is now securely stored in the Asset Library, ready for your next exploration.
💡Tip: Streamline your workflow by merging multiple pairs of fabrics in a single process. For instance, you can merge 10 fabrics into 5 at once, making your merging process more efficient.
Conclusion
By following these steps, you can merge asset images stored in the asset library, enabling a comprehensive view of both the face and back sides of the asset. This streamlined approach ensures an accurate representation of the fabric side and layers.
