How to Fill In Custom Sections and Fields

Introduction

Custom fields and custom sections in Asset Page Setup let you personalize the asset detail page to match your organization’s requirements. Whether you need to record internal identifiers, technical specifications, unique data points, or pricing information, you can design and assign custom fields to ensure your team collects the most relevant information.

How to Fill In Custom Fields

  1. Go to the Asset Library, click on the asset you want to edit, and click the [Edit] button.
  2. Expand the tab where your custom field is located.
    • For example, if you created a custom field under Specification, expand the Specification tab and scroll down to view your custom field.
    • If you created a custom section, locate and expand that section to see the custom fields within it.
  3. Fill in the field values as needed then click [Save] when finished.

How to fill in Multiple Custom Fields at once using Spreadsheet feature

  1. In the Asset Library, select the assets you want to update by ticking the checkboxes, then click [Spreadsheet]. You will be taken directly to the Spreadsheet page.
  2. Scroll horizontally until you find the Custom Fields coloumn area. Then, begin entering the fabric data
    💡 Pro tips:
    • You can update different material types at the same time (e.g., woven + knit). Just make sure the data is entered in the correct column.
    • For best performance, we recommend update up to 150 assets at once.
    • Use Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V to copy/paste data easily.
  3. Make sure all data is correct, then click [Save] to finish. You can monitor the upload in Progress Status/Spreadsheet. Please wait 3–5 minutes until three green bars appear, indicating the upload is complete for all updated assets.

✅ Benefits of Using Custom Fields

  • Standardized Data Input – Ensures everyone on your team is recording consistent information
  • Tailored for Your Workflow – Capture the exact data points your team cares about
  • Better Filtering & Reporting – Use custom fields for advanced sorting, searching, and reporting

Conclusion

Using custom fields keeps your asset data structured, easy to search, and aligned with your operational goals. When they’re set up correctly and consistently used, they enhance collaboration and boost efficiency across your organization.
