Customize Section and Field in Your Asset Page

Introduction

Custom fields and custom section in Asset Page Setup allow you to tailor the asset detail page to fit your organization’s specific needs. Whether you want to track internal codes, technical specs, specific data, or pricing info, you can create and apply custom fields to ensure your team captures the right data.

 

Step-by-Step: Asset Page Setup

  1. Navigate to the Asset Page Setup Tab.
    There are two default sections where you can add custom fields:
    Specification – For technical fabric information (e.g., weave type, shrinkage, internal codes)
    Pricing – For fabric-related pricing info (e.g., discount tier, payment terms

    You can also add Custom Section by clicking the [Manage Section] button and then click on [Add Custom Section]

    • Enter the Custom Section Name. Please ensure to use unique names containing only letters, numbers, and underscores. Duplicate custom section names are not allowed. Then, click [Save] to create.
    • You can also reorder custom sections by dragging and dropping them to adjust the section position. For example, placing them first, second, or in any order that best suits your workflow.
  2. Click [+ Add Field] under the section under the section where you want to add it.

    Then, fill in the following information:
    • Section Name = the section name you want to add the field, including default section and custom section(s).
    • Field Name = state a clear name of your custom field (e.g., Shrinkage %, Weave Type, Batch, Buyer Name)
    • Field Type = this defines the format of the data the field will hold. Choose the one that best suits the kind of information you want to collect between Text, Numeric, Single Option Selection, Single Selection (Multiple Dropdown, One Selection), Multi-selection (Multiple Dropdown, Multi-selection), and Date.
    • Apply To (Material Type) = this determines which material types the field will appear on. Options are include Woven, Knit, Non-woven, Leather, Trims, and Others.
      📌 When you select a material type (e.g., Woven), the custom field will apply to all assets labeled with that type. Additionally, you can select multiple material type for one custom field.
    • Visibility Controls = who can see the field, for Public it will be visible to all internal users (org owner, admin, member, and guest), while for Private, it will be only visible to org owner, admin(s) and member(s).
    • Actions = If you need to delete, duplicate, or edit a custom field.
      ⚠️ Note: Removing a field will also remove any values already filled in across your assets.

💡 Tips:
Only Org Owner and Admin(s) can create custom fields.
Org Owner, Admin(s), and Member(s) can fill in field values later.
 All created custom fields are shared across your organization and groups.

 

How to Fill In Custom Fields

  1. Go to the Asset Library, click on the asset you want to edit, and click the [Edit] button.
  2. Expand the tab where your custom field is located.
    • For example, if you created a custom field under Specification, expand the Specification tab and scroll down to view your custom field.
    • If you created a custom section, locate and expand that section to see the custom fields within it.
  3. Fill in the field values as needed then click [Save] when finished.
